About

Hi! My name is Caitlin M. Allen and I am a security operations analyst based in the San Francisco East Bay. I graduated in May of 2021 with my Bachelor’s in Computer Networking & Cybersecurity with a minor in Computer & Digital Forensics from Champlain College in Burlington, Vermont. While at Champlain, I was the Communications Lead for Womxn in Technology and a member of Cybersecurity Club and Digital Forensics Association.

After my graduation, I transitioned from an intern to a threat analyst at a Vermont-based cybersecurity company. In my current role, I still apply the skills and knowledge I gained to help strengthen my company’s security posture and enhance our security program. While my title is no longer threat analyst, I still love to shadow and help out the threat intel team to learn as much as possible.

While I absolutely love the world of cybersecurity, I also am an avid dressage rider who took time off from competing to complete my undergrad. Throughout high school, I was a competing member of the United States Equestrian Federation (USEF), United States Dressage Federation (USDF), and Eastern States Dressage and Combined Training Association (ESDCTA). In 2017, I was awarded the USDF Region 1 Youth Volunteer of the Year award.

As of May 2025, I am a Director at Large for the Metropolitan Horsemen’s Association (MHA) based in Oakland, California. While putting competing and my dreams of my USDF medals and freestyle bars on hold to keep furthering my career, I am excited to be apart of an organization with deep roots in Oakland’s history!
